πŸ”” Keep in mind! API key management is available for Mapon account administrators or users with unlimited permissions only.

There might be a situation, when you need to change API settings for an existing API key or even cancel access for API key.

🚨 If you are changing methods, do not forget to adjust the corresponding permissions in the available actions list of the API key with limited access.

Edit API key

API key editing is done almost in the same way as creating a new API key.

🚨 API key must be edited by client. Mapon Client Support Team is not authorized to adjust API keys for the clients.

  1. Log in to your Mapon account.

  2. Find and click on the Settings section in the platform's left toolbar.

  3. Under API keys section find your API key and click Edit button on the right side next to it.

  4. Make your adjustments

  5. Click SAVE to confirm changes

πŸ”” Keep in mind! If you are changing Available actions, do not forget to inform your third party platform representative about required changes in the methods they are using.

Cancel API key

If the current API key needs to be canceled, you can revoke access to it for a third party platform in you Mapon API keys settings.

  1. Log in to your Mapon account.

  2. Find and click on the Settings section in the platform's left toolbar.

  3. Under API keys section find your API key and click Revoke button on the right side next to it.

πŸ“˜ After API key's access is being revoked it stays in the list and becomes greyed out.
