How to add a new 'unit'

🔔 Billing & assets management is available for administrators or users with the appropriate access rights.

📘 Adding new units will increase your monthly subscription bill, to know the precise amount of payment contact your Client Project Manager or Mapon Client Support.

To create a new unit directly from our platform:

  1. Go to Billing & Assets ➡ Asset management.

  2. Click the ADD NEW UNIT button in the top right corner.

  3. Choose type of unit you want to create and click ADD UNIT next to it:
    ​​

    • New unit - Create a virtual asset which can also be linked to a BLE device. These can be added as different types, if Default is selected, this will be registered as a Vehicle.

    • Mobile tracking - Use your driver’s mobile device for GPS tracking.

    • Stationary unit - Create an asset with a fixed location.

    • E-commerce device - Device that you have purchased via e-commerce. For clients who have purchased a device and has installation instructions with a special e-commerce code.

  4. Fill in the necessary information.

  5. Click SAVE to add the unit.

📘 To ensure proper data reflection across the Platform enter the unit’s details in the Fleet section.

🔔You won't be able to see Stationary units in the Asset management list for activation/deactivation. If deactivation is needed, contact Mapon Client Support.
