Why can I not see the fuel graph even though I have a CAN connection?
Why can I not see the fuel graph even though I have a CAN connection?
Updated over a week ago

This can be the result of five scenarios:

First scenario

Data is not displayed because it has not yet been received from the on-board computer. CAN data is received by the device from the on-board computer and transferred to the Mapon platform only when the ignition is switched on.

πŸ“˜ In some cases, the vehicle must be driving in order to receive and display fuel data.

Second scenario

If Mapon receives fuel level data from the on-board computer in percent values, the Platform cannot display the fuel level until the fuel tank capacity is entered.

This must be done in Vehicle Settings, under the Technical Information tab.

Third scenario

During device setup before or after the device was installed on a vehicle, the option to display fuel level data was not enabled, as it may have previously been disabled while the device was being used on another vehicle without the need to obtain a fuel level data.

To resolve this situation, you will need to report it to Mapon Client Support.

Fourth scenario

Our device receives CAN data, but due to on-board computer access limitations, some on-board computer data (including fuel level data in the tank) may not be available to us.

Fifth scenario

There is no CAN data from the device at all. This can be caused by interfering in the vehicle's on-board electronics during repair process, which causes errors in the on-board computer.

πŸ“˜ Also in extremely rare cases, this can be done by the manufacturer at the vehicle production stage by setting technical limitations.
