You can link a BLE device to a unit (that was created in from Asset management) to be able to use it in some of our other solutions like the Online map, Reports, Alerts and more!
🔔 You can only link BLE devices to units that were created from Asset management, using the type "New unit".
📘 Data from the BLE device will be shown on the unit only after they are linked. Data from the BLE device before they were linked won't be shown.
🔔 If you choose a BLE device that is already linked to a different unit, this will cancel the link with the other unit and replace it with this unit.
📘 Only BLE devices that are in a Active status can be linked to a unit. You will only be able to select the BLE devices that you have access to and that have an "Active" status. If the BLE device's status is changed to Disabled it will automatically disconnect from the unit. When the status is changed back to Active, it will automatically reconnect to the previously linked unit.
Link a BLE device to a unit
Go to Settings ➡ BLE beacons settings and to the 'Saved' tab.
Click the Edit button on the right side of the device.
Set the Tracking status to Active with the toggle button.
After that, you will be able to search and select a unit to link to this BLE device.
Click the SAVE button at the bottom.
Unlink
Go to Settings ➡ BLE beacons settings and to the 'Saved' tab.
Click the Edit button on the right side of the device.
Under Linked unit, click the Unlink Unit button.
Press the SAVE button at the bottom.
You can also link a BLE device to a unit from the Asset management section while creating a new unit and from the Fleet section while editing a unit's settings (if it was created from Asset management).
