The Mapon Driver app lets you use offline navigation, powered by HERE maps, to reduce mobile data usage. Offline maps can be downloaded to your mobile device so navigation works without consuming data, or when mobile data is not available along the route.
🔔 Keep in mind:
You still need an internet connection to run tasks and the app in general.
Offline navigation uses maps stored on your device but does not display live traffic information.
Download maps
📘 It is recommended to download maps in advance before starting your trip.
To download country or specific region map for offline navigation:
Open the Mapon Driver app.
Tap the map icon at the bottom to open the Online Map.
Roll up the section with the destination field.
Select Offline.
Tap Download maps.
Tap View all maps.
Select the continent.
Find the country you need and tap the download icon (or select a specific region, if available).
At any time, you can cancel a download by tapping Cancel, or delete maps later via the same menu if they are no longer needed.
Use offline maps
📘 Navigation usage offline is basically the same as online – you still start tasks and use the same navigation functions, only the map data comes from your offline downloads.
To use a downloaded offline map for navigation:
Go back to Online Map in the app.
Roll up the section with the destination field.
Tap Offline to start using your downloaded offline map for navigation.
🔔 If the route doesn’t load, it usually means parts of the route go through regions or countries where no offline maps have been downloaded. In that case, download the missing maps or temporarily switch to Online mode to load the route.
