How to use 'User presets' for permission management
How to use 'User presets' for permission management
Updated this week

πŸ“˜ User Management is available to existing users with administrator or unlimited access rights.

One standout feature is the ability to establish user presets. This means that there's no need to configure settings from scratch every time a new profile is created. This feature also allows you to manage permissions for the existing users in a fast an convenient way.

How to create User preset

πŸ“˜ The principle of creating a new preset is the same as choosing access rights for users with limited access. The same sections and settings will be available for selection.

  1. In the Users tab, click MANAGE USER PRESETS in the top right and select CREATE NEW.

  2. Name the preset for easy management and click NEXT.

  3. Select vehicles, drivers, objects, and permissions, clicking NEXT after each step.

  4. Review the summary, edit if needed, and click SAVE to finish.

How to apply User preset

πŸ“˜ The preset can be applied anytime, whether when setting up a new user or for existing users.

  1. In the Users tab, find the user (you can use Search bar) and click Edit;

  2. In the pop-up window, go to the Access rights tab;

  3. Select By preset, choose the preset from the dropdown, and click SAVE.

πŸ“˜ The preset can be deleted any time under MANAGE USER PRESETS, in the Users tab.

Access rights applied by the preset won't disappear after deleting the preset. The rights applied to the user will remain but will be renamed as 'Custom'.
