There are two main sources for the data collected in our Driving Behaviour feature:
CAN (Controller Area Network): This is used as the priority data source when available. It provides more detailed and accurate vehicle information.
GPS (Global Positioning System): This is used when CAN data is not available. It provides location-based data for tracking.
It's important to note that specific devices must be installed on vehicles for both data sources to work effectively. Depending on the model of the device installed, some calculations might be missing, such as cruise control, coasting, and driving green RPM.
✅ The Driving Behaviour solution was designed around the Mapon Expert tracking device, which ensures the highest accuracy. For the best results, it’s recommended to use this device with the solution.
