With the Automatic Tracking of Driving Activities feature from Worktime, fleet managers are able to automatically see when their employees were actually driving, with information directly from the vehicle's tracking device to see an accurate picture of activities that have happened during their working day.
This feature will also accurately track and register the start and end addresses were the employees have driven, to understand if the employees were in the proper location.
🔔 For this feature to work: The employee must select a vehicle from the Mapon Driver app. And the vehicle must be equipped with a tracking device.
📘 While it's also possible to add "Driving" manually as a work status, you can tell if the "Driving" status was added automatically if it shows the steering wheel icon .
How it works
In the Mapon Driver app, the employee should choose the vehicle they are driving.
The employee should start their shift.
During the day, the employee can change activities to track what they are doing.
The employee should end their shift.
When the employee ends their shift we check if during that period of time there was an active route for the vehicle the employee was driving, if so, this is automatically registered as "Driving" time.
🔔 Automatically detected driving times will override the employee's manually registered work activities.
🔔 Employees won’t be able to edit automatically tracked driving times.
Managers are able to edit automatically tracked driving times. If a driving activity is edited, the automatic driving time icon (steering wheel) will be removed.
How it will look
These activities will be shown with a steering wheel icon across the Platform and the Mapon Driver app, to clearly indicate that this driving activity has been tracked automatically.
📘 In the exported file, the automatically tracked driving events will have "automatic" as an indication.
