Route compensation is a feature that helps determine how much distance an employee will be reimbursed for when driving for work purposes. It allows you to track and choose between different methods of calculating the route distance.
To use route compensation Driver needs to:
Launch Mapon Driver on their mobile device and switch to the Route History tab.
Locate the part of the route they want to adjust, either for the current day or by navigating to previous days.
Tap on the distance record that needs to be compensated.
Tap the editing icon to open the distance calculation options:
Distance by GPS (default): Shows the actual distance tracked by the GPS device.
Shortest route by Google: Calculates the shortest route between the start and end points.
Other distance: Allows manual entry of distance (we recommend using odometer distance).
Click Save to apply.
You can view entered route compensations in the 'Routes' report within the platform after the Driver has indicated route compensation in the Mapon Driver.
