How to favorite, mark as read or mute a conversation

Updated over a week ago

Mute a conversation

Muting a conversation lets you take a break from notifications while still staying in the loop. You’ll continue to receive and see all unread messages—you just won’t be interrupted by alerts.

To mute any type of chat:

  1. Go to the Messaging module.

  2. Open the direct chat, group chat (in the My Messages tab), or workspace (in the Workspaces tab) you want to mute.

  3. Move the mouse over a chat or workspace in the list to reveal the drop-down menu on the right.

  4. In the drop-down menu select Mute.

📘 To unmute, repeat the steps and select Unmute.

Mark chat as read or unread

Marking a conversation as read helps you clear your inbox and stay organized. It’s a quick way to let yourself know you’ve seen everything there—no need to open it if you’ve already caught up.

To mark chat as read or unread:

  1. Go to the Messaging module.

  2. Switch to My Messages or Workspaces tab (and open the specific workspace).

  3. Click the three-dotted icon menu and choose the option Select messages.

  4. Use the checkboxes to select the direct chats or groups you want to mark as read or unread.

  5. Click Mark as read or Mark as unread as needed.

Add or remove chat from favourites

To add or exclude a chat from favourites:

  1. Go to the Messaging module.

  2. Switch to My Messages or Workspaces tab (and open the specific workspace).

  3. Click the three-dotted icon menu and choose the option Select messages.

  4. Use the checkboxes to select the direct chats or groups you want to add or remove from favourites.

  5. Click the star icon to complete the action.

🔔 If you select chats and groups already in the favorites list along with those that need to be added, only the Add to favourites option will be available.
