What are all ways to create routes?

Updated this week

There are two ways to create a new routes in the Tasks and routes solution — either from scratch or by using already created unplanned tasks.

New empty route

To create a new route from scratch:

  1. Go to Online Map and click the "Tasks" tab.

  2. Click on the relevant vehicle card.

🔔 Do not click on the licence plate — it will open the vehicle profile, and do not click on the driver’s name — it will open the driver profile.

  3. Click the + Route button at the top.

  4. The route will appear in the Drafts - Unplanned tasks section under the Routes list.

📘 A route needs to have at least one task added in order to be used. Tasks will contain the stops and addresses for the route.

From unplanned tasks

To create a route from existing unplanned tasks:

  1. Go to Online Map and click the "Tasks" tab.

  2. Click on the vehicle card.

🔔 Do not click on the licence plate — it will open the vehicle profile, and do not click on the driver’s name — it will open the driver profile.

  3. Expand "Drafts" to view the list of Tasks that have been created but not yet assigned to a route.

  4. Tick the checkboxes next to the tasks you want to include in the route, in the order you want them completed.

  5. Click the three-dot menu on any of the selected tasks,
    and click "Create new route".

A new unplanned route will be created in the Drafts section under the Routes.

📘 Tasks will be added to the route in the order they were selected. If needed, you can reorder them by dragging tasks into the desired sequence.
