How to set up the Swiss HVC integration on our platform

Updated over a week ago

Before you begin, make sure you have followed the beginning steps as described in this article:

🔔 If you have previously used other services (for example, NATRAS) for Swiss toll roads and want to use our system instead, you will need to first unregister the vehicles from that provider before registering them with us.

Once that’s done, you can set up the connection with our platform by following the steps below:

  1. First, you will need to go to your vehicle's settings:

    • For your trucks:

      • On the "General" tab - the Type for your trucks should be "Truck", "Truck (no trailer)" or "Crane". Additionally, enter the VIN and the country of registration.

      • On the "Technical information" tab - make sure the "Gross weight" has been added correctly.

    • For your trailers:

      • On the "General tab" - the Type for your trailers should be "Trailer" or "Semi-trailer".

      • On the "Technical information" tab - make sure the "Gross weight" has been added correctly.

🔔 The “Gross weight” is considered the max trailer or truck weight, indicated in the registration document of the vehicle. Additionally, make sure the VIN number is correct. These will be essential for accurate calculations.

  2. Go to Integrations Swiss HVC.

  3. Stay on the main tab called "Vehicle registration".

  4. On the Registration status column, click the "Register" button.

📘If this button is not available, make sure the VIN, vehicle gross weight, registration country has been indicated in the vehicle's settings (trailers only need the correct vehicle type and gross weight).

After successful registration, the system will automatically use data from the installed devices (in both trucks and trailers) to send a daily declaration for the previous calendar day. For example, the data collected today will be included in tomorrow’s declaration.

📘 The daily declaration will contain the vehicle's route through Switzerland, Lichtenstein, plus information about the connected trailer/trailers if there was any connected.

We will automatically send daily GPS route data to FOCBS but you can also use our manual corrections feature if the automatic submission fails or if corrections are necessary.

FOCBS will calculate and invoice tolls based on the submitted vehicle and route data.
