Getting started with the Swiss HVC integration

Before starting

To use the integration, make sure to follow the next steps.

  1. Make sure the trucks are equipped with one of the approved devices:

    • Mapon Expert 1

    • Mapon Expert 2

    • FMC130

    • FMC880

    • FMC650

  2. Designate a person in the company to act as the ePortal administrator.
    ​
    This person completes the one-time registration and manages electronic business relationships with the FOCBS (e.g., applying for business partner roles and managing user access).

  3. If you use trailers, separate from your truck units, use one of the following methods to add trailer data to our system:
    ​

    • Trailer Auto-Connect – Automatically detects and assigns trailers to trucks when some conditions are met.
      ​

    • Manual Assignment via Online Map – Manually add trailer details by selecting a vehicle in the Online Map and clicking "Add trailer".
      ​

    • BLE Tag on Trailers – Attach a Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) device to your trailers and use our BLE solution to automatically track which trailer is connected to a truck.
      ​

ePortal registration

Register your company account in the Swiss ePortal:

  1. Look at this ePortal registration guide and complete the first 2 steps.
    ​

  2. You will now have to wait to receive a physical letter containing your onboarding code at your company's address.

    Please note that this code might take a few days to arrive and that there is currently no digital method to receive this code, this onboarding code is sent by regular mail.
    ​

  3. Complete step 3 of the registration guide — registering an administrator using the onboarding code.

  4. For step 4 of the registration guide—selecting business partner role— select "HVC holder".
    ​

  5. If you are a not a company based in Switzerland, you will also have register your foreign vehicles on the ePortal under: "NETS – Foreign Vehicles".

    📘The “NETS – Foreign Vehicles” section becomes available only after the “HVC holder” business partner role has been set up.

    🔔Vehicle data must be entered exactly as shown in the vehicle registration certificate. Please have these documents available during data entry.
    ​
    The entered vehicle data may be verified by the FOCBS during later border crossings.

    🔔 Only register foreign vehicles under: "NETS – Foreign Vehicles".

After these steps, you will be ready to set up the integration on our platform.
