Can I rename a switch or invert its logic?

Renaming a switch or changing its logic (what is shown as ON or OFF) is not a setting you can change in the platform yourself. These are CRM-level settings configured by Mapon.

If the switch:

  • Has an unclear or incorrect name (for example, you want to change it from Fuel drain to Fuel drain alarm), or

  • Shows inverted logic (for example, ON when the equipment is actually OFF, or the other way around),

please contact Mapon so we can adjust it for you.

You can:

  • Reach out to your Mapon representative (if you have one assigned to your account), or

  • Contact the Support Team and describe:

    • Vehicle or unit name/licence plate number

    • Which switch needs to be changed

    • What new name you want

    • How the ON/OFF logic should work (if appears to be inverted)

After the change is made, the new switch name and correct logic will appear in the platform, reports, and alerts.
