How does the 'Driving behaviour' section work?

Our Driving behaviour solution monitors and evaluates how drivers handle their vehicles, helping improve safety and efficiency.

It tracks key events like harsh braking, rapid acceleration, speeding, and cornering to give a clear picture of driving performance.

You will find it in Driver Management → Driving behaviour.

Features

View driving scores for each driver or vehicle

Track and analyze the performance of individual drivers or vehicles. The Driving behaviour solution evaluates driving habits—such as speeding, harsh braking, acceleration, and idling—and converts this data into a simple score.

This makes it easy to compare performance and identify safer and more efficient driving patterns across your fleet.

See scores for specific driving events

You can also view scores for individual driving events. These include Coasting, Harsh acceleration, Harsh braking, Speeding, Eco speed, Excessive idling, Average violation, etc. This helps you understand exactly which driving habits affect the overall score and where improvements can be made.

Choose which driving parameters to track

You can customize which driving behaviour parameters are enabled in the score calculation. This lets you decide which events your company wants to monitor.

By enabling or disabling parameters, you can focus only on the driving habits that matter most for your fleet.

Adjust how the driving score is calculated

You can customize how the driving score is calculated by assigning a weight from 0 to 10 to certain parameters. Higher values give that parameter more influence on the final score, while lower values reduce its impact.

You can also edit the specific values used to evaluate these parameters for each vehicle. For example, you can set the speed limit for Eco speed, define how long Excessive idling must last, adjust the Average violation value, or set the Speeding duration threshold.

This allows you to adapt the driving behaviour evaluation to different vehicle types or operational needs.

Create reports from filtered data

You can generate reports based on the data you are viewing. First, use the filters to select the drivers or vehicles and the time period you want to analyze. Then click the report button in the top right corner to create a report with that information.

This can be done in both the Drivers and Vehicles views, making it easy to export and review driving behaviour data.

Check scores in Mapon Driver

Drivers can also view their Driving behaviour score directly in the Mapon Driver mobile app. They can check their performance for the last 7 days or the last 30 days, and also see their score for each driving parameter. If they want to review another period, they can use the calendar to select any time range and view their driving behaviour data.

View events on the map

Never miss what happens on the road. View all driving events directly on the map—from harsh braking and rapid acceleration to speeding and more — in both the web platform and mobile app. Get a complete picture of every trip, quickly understand driver behavior, and access the same valuable insights whether you're at your desk or on the go.

Works well with ...

Driving behaviour is an analytical tool that provides insights into your drivers' and vehicles' performance. It works with data from the Fleet and Drivers sections. You can also generate Scheduled reports for external reviews. Additionally, driving behaviour data is accessible in the Vehicle Data Panel on the Online Map for selected vehicles.
