In the Mapon web platform, users with Administrator rights or unlimited access can restart a device using the Control device feature in the Now tab. This option appears in the Vehicle data panel when selecting a vehicle at the very bottom.
📘 The feature is available for some device models by default. If you don’t see it, contact Mapon Support to check if a reboot or reset command can be added for your device.
How to restart a device
To restart a device:
Open the Online map and select a vehicle on a map or from the list on the left side.
In the Now tab, at the very bottom find feature called Control device.
In the Select command dropdown select Reboot/Reset (depends on the device type).
Click Restart.
🔔 Keep in mind! This feature allows you to troubleshoot ignition state, switch state, or GPS signal loss issues.
🚨 The Restart/Reboot command will not be applied if the tracking device is offline due to power loss or lack of network coverage (black icon/no data).
The restart usually happens within 10 minutes. If the issue persists, check for other possible causes or contact Mapon Support.
You can also review the control history to see if there were already reboot commands sent before.
🔔 Important! If you see other commands in the list, contact Mapon Support to check if they can be used.
